Rainbow platter – colorful and delicious

Parents often underestimate the power and attraction that cut fruit and vegetables have on children. A plate of lovingly arranged fruit and vegetables, and everyone will dig in. Combined with a delicious dip, hardly any child can resist. It doesn't take much preparation to put a beautiful and colorful platter on the table. A good dip for raw vegetables is hummus, which is also packed with nutrients. A guacamole dip or various versions with fresh or sun-dried tomatoes are sure to appeal to the little ones. And all of this is accidentally vegan too—it doesn't get much better than that, does it?

Vegan party queue

Whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, mini rolls are fun. It doesn't matter whether you bake a store-bought version or use homemade dough straight from the oven. String the little treats together like a snake and, if you like, decorate the head with raisin or black olive eyes and a small carrot tongue. They go perfectly with a delicious vegan pesto, vegan quark with garlic and herbs, or simply raw vegetables like cucumber, bell peppers, and carrots. You can find a delicious recipe for quick rolls here:

What you need:

  • 1 (muffin) tray

How it works:

For the dough, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, oil, and 320 ml water with a mixer. Form the mixture into balls and place them in the cups of a muffin tin. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake at 200°C for 10 minutes until golden brown.

Golden brown pizza sticks

You're probably already familiar with the well-known pizza rolls, a staple at almost every party. But eating them is often difficult for children, so we've sought a child-friendly way to prepare this snack. Anyone can make pizza rolls, but we're proud to present our delicious pizza sticks, vegan of course:

How it works:

To make our vegan version of the pizza rolls you're sure to be familiar with, vegan puff pastry is a must. Combine the puff pastry with pesto or tomato paste and then top it with whatever you like. Your ideas are almost limitless: Whether zucchini, olives, or spinach, anything goes. Then season with salt, pepper, and a little basil and roll the puff pastry into sticks. The finished snacks go in the oven until the puff pastry is golden brown. A vegan finger food that's hard to resist.

Mini burgers – vegan and delicious

Kids love burgers – they'll be even more excited if they're small enough to fit in their hands. You can make a super healthy version using whole-grain bread, sweet potato, lettuce, and pesto, but they're sure to be a hit if the burgers are reminiscent of their big-time counterparts. A falafel mix, for example, works well as a burger patty, or you can even find tofu from the refrigerated section. With a bit of salt and pepper, ketchup, garlic cloves, apple cider vinegar, and liquid smoke, you can conjure up a BBQ sauce and top the burger with tomatoes, cucumbers, the falafel patty, and lettuce. You've got a delicious snack that's sure to put a smile on kids' faces.
